Crescent Textile Brooch

Rothlu brooch This brooch is made from hand cut textured textile that has been painted using various batik processes. It is hand dyed/painted in green/ silver . It has a high gloss coating, is pleather backed (so it's lovely and soft!) and measures 4 x 5cm. As this brooch is a one-of-a-kind, each one made in this style has its own unique texture and brushstrokes, clearly showing the maker's hand.

Painterly contemporary jewellery designed and handmade in the Ox Mountains, County Mayo, Ireland, by visual artist/maker Frances McGonigle using batik and shibori techniques on remnant textile. Our jewellery is lusciously hued, super- lightweight, modern and beautiful.
