Mark has been living away from Ireland for over a decade but he sees Ireland everywhere !

Mark Duffy is an Irish artist based in the UK. Duffy’s artworks explore issues of power and national identity. His artistic practice uses photography and multi-media installation to build recurring motifs that suggest alternative narratives on political phenomena, with a sense of absurdity and humour. Duffy uses his own experiences as part of the Irish diaspora to question how a sense of place, belonging and national and cultural identity can be constructed, or dismantled. This threads through his work about Ireland and Irishness, as well as his many projects critiquing Brexit and UK Parliament.
